The Hibi-Science
While there is magic in The Rubyverse, there is science in our universe, and we'd love to share some of the findings we have as we've learned more about hibiscus and it's amazing benefits.

Ruby Hibiscus Water is delivering the amazing benefits of Hibiscus, but let's not get ahead of ourselves....
Hibiscus has been used in many cultures for centuries for its preternatural medicinal purposes. Studies have shown that hibiscus has many health and wellness benefits such as weight loss, lowering blood pressure, and improving Heart and Liver health. Hibiscus Water is made from a ambient brew process where the Hibiscus Flowers are broken down to release flavanoids, phenolic acids, and organic acids which are ingredients loaded with antioxidants. These compounds then mix with water to create a delicious taste and the ruby red color from anthocyanins pigments that deliver that red color.
These organic acids within the flower are also beneficial to Ruby's production - it means we have a naturally high pH level, which means we do not have to use artificial preservatives.
Raw Hibiscus is native to many continents and is rich in electrolytes and antioxidants. As we age and our body breaks down, a molecule known as “free radicals” begins to attack healthy cells. Antioxidants help fight against these harmful molecules by fighting back. Hibiscus flowers contain an enormous amount of Total Polyphenols, which make up these antioxdiants, making Hibiscus Water and Ruby one of the most antioxidant rich beverages on the planet.
Ruby has over 500mg of polyphenols per bottle and 16.6 mg of antocyanins. The ORAC hydro vale is 2,360.75 μmol, meaning that we have some strong antioxidants in our drink! Said another way: one bottle of Ruby has more antioxidants than a glass of red wine and is equivalent to as many antioxidants as you'd receive eating 2.5 cups of blueberries.
